Third edition of Forward_MAD
The integration of Forward_ into Kleber Group comes weeks before the third edition of Forward_MAD, which will take place from November 28th to November 30th in Madrid.
The event will bring together international professionals from travel agencies, hotels, tours and tourism activities, and investment funds to:
-
- Articulate the business community of the tourism and luxury sector in the Madrid region to create a unique offer to attract high-impact travellers.
- Attract investment and tourism from strategic markets such as Asia, the United States and Latin America.
- Connect the different actors in this ecosystem, including SMEs and artisans, to foster communication and collaboration between them.
- Consolidate Madrid as a luxury destination.
The Madrid regional government and its City Council will support Forward_MAD 2023 as a sponsor. The project conceives luxury as an open, sustainable sector that has a positive impact on the economy and society. In this third edition of the event in the Spanish capital, the artisans, trades, and companies of the luxury sector will play a leading role as the distinctive features of Madrid as a tourist destination.
High-value tourism has a positive effect in the financial development of tourist destinations. According to the “European High Impact Tourism Report” by the European Alliance of Cultural and Creative Industries, these travellers account for 1 percent of the total number of visitors to Madrid but contribute 18 percent of the city’s total tourism revenue. If the average daily expenditure per tourist is €400, in the case of luxury tourists it rises to €860 per day. Forward_ is an international event that is part of the Kleber Group. Its objective is to initiate a debate on the relevance of luxury and high-impact tourism, as well as to align all public and private actors to promote this segment and the development of a sustainable tourism model. Luxury tourism has a greater economic impact on the destinations as it brings in more revenues and tourists stay longer.
